Wetu / Tourplan Connector Overview

To access your Wetu / Tourplan Connector, in the address bar of your browser, enter wetu.com/Tourplan (or click on the link). If you are not logged in correctly, you will be prompted here to login - use your Wetu login details.

Creating an itinerary

PLEASE NOTE that this process involves creating a Wetu Itinerary from a Tourplan booking. There is no real link between the booking and the Itinerary. When you leave the Wetu / Tourplan Connector, any changes you make to the Itinerary will only be saved in Wetu (under Personal Itinerary) - not in Tourplan. Similarly, if you go back into Wetu / Tourplan Connector and change details of the booking, you need to connect the booking to Wetu again. Doing this will overwrite the itinerary that is saved in the Wetu system with a new one.

From the  Wetu / Tourplan Connector Page, you can choose which booking you would like to create an itinerary for. You can use any of the various quick search functions to do this.

On the right side of the booking you would like to create the itinerary for, click  Connect

If you have a booking that is split (for example due to different currencies), you can connect them together and build a single itinerary. To do this, select the bookings that you would like to connect by using the check button on the far right, under  Link Bookings. When you do this, you will see that the booking references get added to the quick connect function at the top of the page.

Once you have selected all the parts of the booking, you can click on the  Connect button next to the listed booking references.

If the booking/s contain unmapped services, the new page that opens will list all the services for that particular booking/s. On the right, you can map the unmapped services through the steps detailed  here or click on the Skip button in the top right corner. If you have mapped all of your services, the Skip button will change to a green Proceed button.

Note: For the optimum itinerary output, it is recommended that you map all of your services for the booking.

Note: Transfers, flights, etc are not able to be mapped at this point. Mapping of these arrangements will be handled in a future version of Wetu / Tourplan Connector. In the meantime, all travel services need to be assigned to the Travel category. You can manually map these arrangements in the Itinerary Builder.

Whether your chose to  Skip or Proceed, the next window will be the Itinerary Creator page. Here can view your itineraries, the links to the itineraries and edit your itineraries.

Note: If any of the accommodation services are left unmapped or services are mapped to General Accommodation or General Activity, then you will be prompted to connect this service to a entry on the Wetu map when you try to build an itinerary.

Note: The itinerary will automatically be saved in your Wetu Itinerary Builder under Personal Itinerary.

If there is no further action you would like to take, your can return to the Wetu / Tourplan Connector page using the   Back to Bookings button.

Editing an Itinerary

If you would like to make changes to the itinerary, you can click on the  Itinerary Builder button and you will be taken to the Wetu Itinerary Builder where you can edit the itinerary as you usually would in the Builder.

Routing in TourPlan Itineraries

Unlike the usual Wetu Itineraries, there are two options to choose from when doing the routing in a TourPlan Itinerary - U se Travel Arrangements or Use Routing

Use Travel Arrangements
This option is selected by default and will pull through the travel and tour details that you entered when creating your quote in TourPlan. You can edit and add to these details in tab 3: Travel Detail

Depending on what details you enter here, will reflect what is shown in in the Transport tab of the Digital Itinerary output. The route that is built and displayed on the the Map is based on details you entered into TourPlan.

Use Routing
This option will select the usual Wetu Route Builder. In this option, we rationalize the transfer and tour details that you entered when creating the quote in TourPlan and convert them to routes that you can amend in the builder.

In tab 3: Route Builder, you can then add and amend the routes as you usually would. By clicking on the icon of the transfer, you can add additional details regarding that transfer. Depending on what amendments you made to your routing and the details you added, they will then be reflected accordingly in the Transport tab of the Digital Itinerary output.
