Countries: How do I add or customise Country Information

Wetu provides default Country Information such as electricity, currency, dress code, etc. and these details are automatically included in your itineraries. You are able to add content, customise content or choose to not show certain country information on your itineraries.

This article will explain how to do add, edit and remove country information, via the Admin Panel. It will also identify the different areas where country information is displayed, on the various itinerary outputs.

Country Information is available on all Operator packages but is only accessible by users with Admin privileges.

Adding and Editing Country Information

Login to your Wetu account and once on the Dashboard, click on Admin. Then click on the Countries tab.

Here you will find the list of Countries that have been included in any of the itineraries you have built. Next to each country is a list of options where you can add information. To see all Country Information, select the "Show all Countries" option at the top of the screen.

To add information (or edit the pre-loaded information), click on the desired field ( Description, Health, Safety etc.) and a pop-up window will open.

Once you have entered the information for the specific field, click save. A green tick will appear next to each field that has personalized information entered.

Note: Wetu does not pre-load information for Health, Safety and Entry Requirements as these details change regularly.
Note: There is information pre-loaded on the system by Wetu, but once you change the information it will no longer be maintained by Wetu and it is your responsibility to make sure that the information that is loaded is always up to date and accurate.

Removing Country Information

If you prefer a certain section of the Country Information not to show on your itinerary outputs, go to the Countries tab and click on the section that you don't want to show (for example Currency).

Remove all the text that is in the block and replace it with any word that is between 1 and 10 characters, for example, Hide / Don't Show / N/A / etc. and then click save. The system will now not show anything for that section on the itinerary outputs.

The system recognises the following rules:

No text: If there is no text then show Wetu default text (if there is Wetu default text)

1-10 characters: if there are 1-10 characters (e.g. Hide / Don't Show / N/A / etc) then show nothing

11+ characters: if there are >10 characters then display this text on itinerary outputs

Country Images

Select the Images option. A new tab will open in your browser where you will be able to see the images loaded for the Country. The Default images are loaded by Wetu and "My Collection" can be a combination of Wetu Images and Images you upload.

Select "Add Image/s" to upload images from your computer. These will only display in your account and no other companies will have access to them.

Select the up arrows on the Wetu default images to add the image to your collection.

Once you have added images to your collection you will have two saving options:

Use/Show my collection first and then default images or Use/Show images from my collection only

If you prefer not to see the default images, select to view your collection only. You are not able to delete default images and this would be the best way to hide them from your output should you not wish for it t display.

Country Banner Image

The Country banner image displays on the Printable itinerary with the Country name. In the images screen, select Banner Image to edit it.

The current banner image will display as well as the sizing for a new image should you wish to upload one.

Select "Browse" to add an image from your computer and save. This image will now display in the printable.

Please ensure that you have permission from the Content Owner to ensure that there are no copyright issues when itineraries are distributed. Wetu is not responsible should any issues occur.
