Why Components are useful

Components are incredibly useful when creating itineraries.  You can build Components that you sell regularly and populate the fields with good content and then add them to your current Itinerary with the click of a button.  Once in your current itinerary you can edit the content, removing or adding activities as the specific itinerary requires.

How to build Single Day Components

A Single Day Component allows you to create a day itinerary in detail for your client, save it and reuse it for similar client needs the future.

Step 1: Create new component

On the Virtual Itinerary Builder page, select Component Type, Single Day.

Step 2: Details

Add your Itinerary Details to the page including your unique Component Name and Itinerary Type.

Step 3: Adding Activities

Just as you've learned in the  Itinerary Builder Wetu HelpDoc, type in your activities and use the drop down menu to select the correct attraction or activity.  Here you can also select the Timeslot the activity will take place and if it's Planned, Optional or Recommended.  You can also add Day Notes and what is Included and Excluded on the day tour.

Step 5: Finish

The Route Builder will help your clients get from point A to point B with a guided map.  Select your Start and End point from the drop down menu, this might be where your client is staying or a general area like Sea Point, Cape Town.  The accommodation will automatically fill in from the previous tab.

Step 5: Adding Activities

Note: You can move from Day 1 to Day 2 or Day 3 by selecting each tab and repeating adding activities for each Day Tab.

Step 6: Add a Day Route

By clicking on the green  Add a Day Route Tab a pop up screen will appear with a DAY ROUTE BUILDER. Just like what you've learned in the Day Component section above, you'll add routes to the day itinerary.

In the left menu type in the  Start and End point first, before you try and add any of your activities.

Then, select each activity in the order you'd like your client to visit each location.  When you select an activity from the drop down menu, it will automatically fill in the next  Transfer field with your selection.  If you make a mistake, use the drop down menu to select Remove Transfer and the field will be removed.
