Managing your Free Listing

Wetu offers all properties a Free Listing to get you started. Here we will guide you through the steps of adding information, photos and general information to your property.  If you are unsure of what a Free Listing is, begin by heading over to our Information about the Free Listing Wetu HelpDoc.

Note: it takes about 15 minutes for changes to show on the front end.

Getting started with your Free Listing

To begin, go to   wetu.com and on the top right, click on the Login button.

Note: If you do not have a login details, please contact support@wetu.com   or Register as a new user. 

Dashboard

From the  Dashboard you can access all the various aspects of your Wetu account. 

In  Admin, you can change your organisations details, update your password and username, set your company logo, etc. In the Personal Details, you can update and review details about the user that is logged in.

There is also the options to install your  Facebook App from here. The Facebook App creates a brochure on your product's Facebook page. These details are pulled from your Wetu listing and update automatically in Facebook when you update in Wetu. 

Content

Once you have logged in, you will be granted access to Your Content as seen in the picture below.  Click on the Name of your listing (in green) or Edit (in green) to make the necessary first time updates.

A new window, like the image below, will open with a menu on the left for you to add all of your relevant content. 

Begin with the Description of your property.

Adding Pictures

Images must be hi-res and landscape.  Upload as many as 6 pictures directly from your computer. Tell a story with your pictures which should represent all aspects of your product.

  • A picture says 1000 words – tell stories with your images
  • Upload hi-res images (must be >500KB, preferably >3MB) – must be > 2MP -  How Content is Rated
  • Upload landscape images rather than portrait images – most screens are twice as wide as they are high
  • The first 3 images show in the Digital Itinerary & Word Doc Itinerary – see this blog
  • Get into the destination (destination = wildlife, beach, mountains, city etc) – this is mostly why people travel, you won’t believe how many people don’t upload any animal pics for game lodges, the people are not travelling half way round the world for the bathroom

Note: Landscape images display better than portrait. High resolution images that are close to 1MB are best and anything under 300KB will not look good on your client's full screen.

To add additional photos click on  Add New Picture and insert all relevant picture descriptions.  

Note:  Be sure you have permission to use the images and confirm by ticking the 'I confirm that we have permission to use these images' field underneath the Save icon.

Product Information

Room Types / Unit/Villa Types

Select the Room Types option from the menu on the left and a new box will appear to fill in your Room Types details.  Be sure to fill in as much information as possible and add relevant images by clicking on the green Add New Image icon to the right.  

Note:  If you do not have rooms as a part of your property, do not fill this section in.

Click on the black Add New Room icon (at the bottom of page) to add additional rooms.  

Note: Repeat above for Unit Types. 

Facilities

Select the Facilities option from the menu on the left and a new page will appear to tick off all of the relevant Facilities pertaining to your property.  

Below is an example of some of the options you will have to tick off in Facilities.  When you are finished, click on the green Save icon at the bottom of the page.

General Information

Contact Details 

Add all of your relevant Contact Details including Facebook Page, twitter handle and GPS codes here.

At the bottom of the Contact Details are options Contact Preferences to be notified when the product is used and to add information about your Booking Affiliate.  You will also find the option to Save your Contact Details at the bottom of the page.

When you have saved, exit the page and return to your  Dashboard.
