Additional Details: How do I get the Link to the New Itinerary Output

In this article, you will be shown how to get access to your Discovery Itinerary whilst navigating through various parts of your Itinerary Builder. The Discovery Itinerary Output is a modern design that is aimed at providing content and information that is more in line with the expectations of the travellers during the shopping and comparing phases of the buying process.

This functionality is only available on the Digital Enterprise Package

Getting Started

To get the link to your Discovery Itinerary so that you can distribute it you will need to be in the Itinerary Builder section of your account which you can access from your Dashboard after logging into your account.

From here you will either proceed to build a new Personal or Sample Itinerary or alternatively, go to your existing Personal or Sample Itineraries.

How to get my Discovery Itinerary from the Itinerary Browser

When using your existing Personal or Sample Itineraries, you can access the Discovery Itinerary link directly from your Itinerary Browser.

In the Itinerary Browser, select the desired itinerary by clicking on it once to expand the itinerary record. From here you have two methods for getting the link to your Discovery Itinerary.

Here you can select 'Preview Discovery' from the two itinerary preview options. This will open the Discovery Itinerary in a new browser tab so that you can view it and copy the Discovery Itineraries URL.

Alternatively, you will be able to copy the URL directly by selecting 'Discovery' from the drop-down before you copy the itinerary URL and send it to your potential traveller.

How to get my Discovery Itinerary from Step 6: Additional Details

When building a new itinerary or editing an existing itinerary, you will be able to make use of the Discovery Itinerary output. In Step 6: Additional Details, you can copy the Discovery Itinerary link directly from the Outputs section.

Alternatively, you can access the Discovery Itinerary using the "Preview Itinerary' option by selecting 'Discovery' from the drop-down.

Sending the Discovery Itinerary via Wetu's Email Client
A link to the Discovery Itinerary can be shared via email through the Email Client Link functionality in the Itinerary Builder. In Step 6: Additional Details a drop-down menu is available to specify which output’s access link should be associated with the shared email.

When you select the Discovery Itinerary output from the drop-down, a confirmation modal will display indicating that the new output’s link will be sent in the email generated by the Wetu system.

When an Identity is selected on an itinerary, the following details, captured in the Admin pages, are displayed in the Discovery Itinerary.

Discovery Itinerary Customisation Options

When sending out the Discovery Itinerary, it is important that you have your brand representation visible on the output, therefore, we have ensured that a lot of details from the Classic Themes that you have created in Admin will automatically apply. Below we have highlighted which design elements are applied to the Discovery Itinerary.

Logos
The logo you have uploaded to your Company Profile or to the Identities in your account will display.

Colours
The primary, secondary & accent colours selected in the Colour Palette section of the Template Styles tab will be the colours that display on the Discovery Itinerary.

Fonts
The heading and body text fonts selected in the Fonts section of the Template Styles tab will be the fonts that display on the output. The font sizing will not have an effect on the Discovery Itinerary.

Landing Page Images
The images that display on the Discovery Itineraries Landing Page can be set to display either Accommodation related images or Destination Specific images in the theme customiser under the Landing Page section of the Template Settings tab.

You will also have the option to individually customise the Landing Page Media of each itinerary by either uploading specific images or a video directly in Step 6: Additional Details under the Landing Page Media function.
