Accommodation: How to add and remove dates

Dates are essential in an itinerary in order for your clients to know where they will be travelling to on which days. By adding dates to your itineraries you will also be able to generate printable Vouchers and a Mobile Code for the TravelKey app. Don't have the dates yet? No worries, you can always add them in later.

Getting Started

Firstly, open up the Personal Itinerary that you need to work on.

Note: Dates are only available on Personal Itineraries. Sample itineraries can also be copied to create a Personal Itinerary.  Here is a document with more information on how you can do so.

Step 1: Adding dates

Select the Accommodation Step in the Itinerary Builder.

At the top of the page, there are sections for you to add both the start and the end dates.

By clicking on each calendar icon, you will be able to select the start and end travel dates accordingly.

Step 2: Ensure that the dates are correct

Once dates have been added, you will need to make sure that they include the same number of nights you have added to the Accommodation Step.

If your dates and number of nights don't match, an error will appear at the top and bottom of the screen and you will not be able to move onto the next step.

If they are correct, the system will allow you to move onto the next step (Route Builder).

Note: You will not be able to save your itinerary or move to the Route Builder if your dates don't match your number of nights

Step 3: Removing Dates

If you need to remove the selected dates, select 'clear dates' next to the dates. You can always add your dates in at a later stage if needed.

Step 4: Editing Dates

If you need to make any edits to your dates, follow the same process and select new start and end dates. Once you have done this, the dates on all of the services will change according.
